THE HISTORY OF OXYDOL
Oxydol has been a trusted detergent for over 100 years... that's a lot of laundry! In fact, Oxydol was originally used for more than just laundry. It was launched in England in 1914 and was used for dishes, and household cleaning too. Oxydol was purchased by Procter and Gamble in 1927 as a complete household soap, and ultimately became their first laundry detergent.
Speaking of soap, here's a fun fact! Soap sponsorships of early American radio shows, including Oxydol's Ma Perkins, led to the naming of what we now call "soap operas." Oxydol's popularity also landed it appearances in numberous movies and TV shows including Charlotte's Web, A Christmas Story, and Manhattan.
Today Oxydol is manufactured by Fab & Kind, where we are proud to offer Ultra Oxydol Detergent for the same trusted results, and two weeks of freshness.
